The Strathroy Kick-Off Cup
I just got home from my tournament in Strathroy. Basically, they took all the teams from my division, put them into groups and made them battle it out. So yeah. We were in a group with Guelph Royals and Windsor FC, which looked accessible.
We came into the first game with our hopes well high. So, we went into the game with a basic 4-4-2. I was on the bench [ :( ] and then came on at half, maybe before.
Anyway, Joel picked up a shot which rebounded off the keeper and went in. So we were up 1-0. Then, Patric basically did the same thing which got him a goal. Then, Nick decked out the entire defense and scored a great strike. So, that was the first half in a nut shell. The second half started and I didn't see much of the ball. So, once I had a chance, I went back and picked up the ball, got by three players and blasted it near post. Goal. 4-0. So that was that. Game one was over.
My dad was gone so I went to a camp site with coach Frank, Nick and Adam. We went fishing and I caught two trout. RAINBOW trout. Yes, I was very happy.
So, five painstaking hours past and we were back on the field for game two. The game started and I was on the bench again. Anyway, we were 0-0 at half and I came on! Adam B. took two shot and BAM ! BAM ! 2-0. So the game continued. 2-0. Final score.
So, we went on to play today against London Arsenal White. The best team in the league and 5th in Ontario. We got owned 4-0. But, I was happy with the result. So, I hope Kitchener does good and beats them tomorrow!

The Bluewater early bird Tourney
Wow, I just got back from East Side Mario’s because my team went out for dinner. We are playing a tournament here in Bluewater, Sarnia. We are playing in a division with London White Eagles, Norwest Storm, and Byron Blast: all teams which are one or two divisions blow us. The first game, we won 10-0 :-). I got two goals, Joel got one, Noah scored his first goal ever(it was great, btw), Adam B. had a hat trick in the first ten minutes, Kieran scored a great header which he put over the goalie's head, Mickie scored one from outside of the box, and Patrick scored one too. Overall, we played a great game and we all had fun. The goal of the game goes to Noah and his first goal. He decked 4 defenders and then kicked it away from the keeper. Great Goal!
In game two, I was intimidated a little by the size of the Norwest players. But, as it turns out, size didn't matter in a one-sided game again. Players were played in places they were not used to, but we were able to win 7-0. The game got rough and pushy as the Norwest players (and some of us) got a little too aggressive. For instance, there was a lot of tackles and a bit of mouthing off. But..... The coaches talked to us after the game and we learned about the dangers of reacting to a tackle, the scorers: Mickie (2), Adam B. (2), Joel (2) and Adam A. (1). The best goal award has to go to Adam A. because his goal was indeed amazing. He set himself up and took a shot which he put near the top corner.
We have two games remaining (FOR SURE) and then would be the final. We have a guaranteed first place (we just figured it out) which is really good! So we play Byron tomorrow and I hope we win again!
