Today, we played Brampton East A in the indoor soccer league. We were all scared since Brampton teams are always really good. One of them, in fact, is the best team in Ontario! I surprisingly got to use the number 10. Here's a picture.
Anyway, the game started and I started as right forward. Early in the game, Adam B. caught a pass and basically deked their entire team out, shot and scored. 1-0 early on. Brampton eventually got it back. We hit the crossbar one time and we went into the half 1-1.We were playing badly and we were losing every ball. So, we got a strong pep-talk from the coach and message got through the team.
So the second half started. I was off and I got a private talk with the coach telling me to play harder and put more effort into my game. Boy, did that ever pay off. I went in and we quickly got a goal from Adam A. He shot it bottom right hand corner. 3 minutes after that, Adam B. got the ball and sent a pass to Kaleb. I ran quickly around their entire defence and Kaleb laid it off to me....a wide open net........GOAL! I scored my first goal of the indoor season. My dad got a picture of it. Here it is but you don't see the net.
My dad and I drew a picture showing where the ball went.
Brampton started to press harder and we quickly gave up a goal. Then with 10 seconds remaining, they got a lucky shot that made it to the net, got tipped up by our goalie, came down hit the crossbar, our goalie got it, and as he came down, it slipped out of his hands and a Brampton player headed it in. 3-3.
The game then ended and we were all disappointed but still, we tied Brampton. I think that's good enough.

I think that tying is pretty good. It's better than losing, and besides, it's all about the love of the game, right?
It sounds like you had fun, and that's what it's all about!
