Live from Argentina - Day 5 and 6

Wow, it´s getting hard tokeep up with this. I don´t have too much computer access so it might get difficult writing everyday.
The past few days, I have spent a lot of time with family and friends. Unfortunately, I couldn´t get any pictures in as my camara is arriving tomorrow. So I will post a more formal story tomorrow and the following days after that. All in all, I´m okay! Bombarded with comments and questions such as ´Oh, Does Coca-Cola exist there?´or ´Are there malls over there?´. Yea, it´s fun. Well, Im gonna go, I´ll try to write tomorrow. Bye!

Hey, scroll down for my new post.

So as you know, I went to see Boca vs. Velez. I had plateo seats which is right beside the field. Here are the stats.
BOCA vs. VELEZ (2-3)Yellow cards : Velez - 3, Boca - 1
Goals: Velez - Uglessich, Cabrera and Cristaldo
Boca - Palacio, Forlin
Here are some photos.

It was a great game. I´ll write again later. BYE

Live from Argentina - Day 3 and 4

Hey readers. Sorry I didn´t post. I had no access to a computer.

Day 3
On Saturday, we stayed in bed to about 12:30m since we had stayed up until 4:30 playing FIFA '08 at a friends house. We then went to eat at the mall with Paco, Martin, Florencia, and my grandma. Here are some photos of that day, in which we really didn´t do much.

Me standing at a barbeque. THE SUN WAS IN MY EYES.

We went to eat with some of Martin´s high school friends.

And that´s about it for day three.

Day 4

Ah, day four. We wake up, 12:00 again, and eat breakfast. Then we play a little PS2 , in which I won this time, and headed out to pick up the tickets. We were going to go see Boca vs. Velez in which I will post about separate because that way I get more readers. We ate at Puerto Madero which was a very nice place. Then we went to the game. The field was huge and you have no idea on the amount of swearing I heard. After the game, we went to Martin´s to shower because I had glitter in my hair that came from the Boca bandana. Then we went to my grandma´s house to say hi to my cousins and I slept there. Two pictures this time.

La Bombonera, the Boca Juniors field.

Outside the Bombonera

That´s it for the two days I missed. Thanks for reading. Check back soon.

Life from....... Argentina!

Hey readers!
I have safely arrived to Argentina. The flight was looonnnggg and boring.... I think I slept 3 hours.
I´ll post some pictures from the trip!!

The Andes Mountains in Chile!

My Plane!!!!Yea, I don´t know him.

So my flight(s) were fun except the one from Chile to Buenos Aires. The plane was small and it was very boring. It was cool though. Me and my uncle Paco went to the Hard Rock Cafe. We had ´Chicken Tenders´ with ¨Heavy Metal¨sauce. Paco was crying because it was too spicy. HAHAHA, just kidding. He took it like a man. He bought me a Hard Rock T-Shirt and I bought myself a cool Ferrari one.

So here we sit, watching Estudiantes vs. Argentinos Juniors, with Paco, Martin, Daniel, and Florencia (Paco´s girlfriend). I´ll check back in tomorrow with more pictures and more stories. I´m off to eat asado with family. PEACE OUT!

Tribute

I have decided to make a tribute to my father.
My dad was born in Necochea, Argentina. There, he spent most of his life until he met my mom and moved to Canada. My dad has a passion for soccer. He is usually found talking, studying, watching or coaching soccer! Even now as I write this, his team is playing in Tillsonburg for the WOYSL league. So you can say he's pretty committed. Anyway, he also loves a good burger (as do I). When we were in the Sarnia, we crossed the border, and drove 200km to go to a burger joint called Fuddruckers. It was soooo worth the wait!

My dad works at AGFA, a place where they make software for hospitals. So, sometimes I get to travel along with him and go to really fancy hotels and eat really good (emphasis on the good) food.
"In this picture, my dad and I were in downtown Toronto."

So as you can see, I really enjoy spending time with him. The most fun is when we go to buffets with me and Juan and we really have fun challenging each other to try different things. I remember when I was dared to eat sushi ( YUCK! ) which I did but then raced to the bathroom to spit out. Good times, Good times....

Anyway, my dad also leaves on big trips such as San Diego and (once) Belgium. I can't go to these ones so I'm home hoping he comes back soon. Also, I can't go to the Away games for his team because I have practice usually. That kinda sucks too. He also is VERY good at math. He helps me a lot and it's really nice to have someone to look up to. He is very understanding and helps me when I'm stuck. I look up to and love my dad and I wouldn't change it for anything. :)

The Strathroy Kick-Off Cup

I just got home from my tournament in Strathroy. Basically, they took all the teams from my division, put them into groups and made them battle it out. So yeah. We were in a group with Guelph Royals and Windsor FC, which looked accessible.

We came into the first game with our hopes well high. So, we went into the game with a basic 4-4-2. I was on the bench [ :( ] and then came on at half, maybe before.
Anyway, Joel picked up a shot which rebounded off the keeper and went in. So we were up 1-0. Then, Patric basically did the same thing which got him a goal. Then, Nick decked out the entire defense and scored a great strike. So, that was the first half in a nut shell. The second half started and I didn't see much of the ball. So, once I had a chance, I went back and picked up the ball, got by three players and blasted it near post. Goal. 4-0. So that was that. Game one was over.

My dad was gone so I went to a camp site with coach Frank, Nick and Adam. We went fishing and I caught two trout. RAINBOW trout. Yes, I was very happy.

So, five painstaking hours past and we were back on the field for game two. The game started and I was on the bench again. Anyway, we were 0-0 at half and I came on! Adam B. took two shot and BAM ! BAM ! 2-0. So the game continued. 2-0. Final score.

So, we went on to play today against London Arsenal White. The best team in the league and 5th in Ontario. We got owned 4-0. But, I was happy with the result. So, I hope Kitchener does good and beats them tomorrow!

The Bluewater Early Bird Tourney : Part 2

Well, we beat Byron Blast 11-0. :-)

The best goal goes to Joel and Mickie for their first goal of the game.

Then we lost against South End. So im back in Waterloo.

The Bluewater early bird Tourney

Wow, I just got back from East Side Mario’s because my team went out for dinner. We are playing a tournament here in Bluewater, Sarnia. We are playing in a division with London White Eagles, Norwest Storm, and Byron Blast: all teams which are one or two divisions blow us. The first game, we won 10-0 :-). I got two goals, Joel got one, Noah scored his first goal ever(it was great, btw), Adam B. had a hat trick in the first ten minutes, Kieran scored a great header which he put over the goalie's head, Mickie scored one from outside of the box, and Patrick scored one too. Overall, we played a great game and we all had fun. The goal of the game goes to Noah and his first goal. He decked 4 defenders and then kicked it away from the keeper. Great Goal!

In game two, I was intimidated a little by the size of the Norwest players. But, as it turns out, size didn't matter in a one-sided game again. Players were played in places they were not used to, but we were able to win 7-0. The game got rough and pushy as the Norwest players (and some of us) got a little too aggressive. For instance, there was a lot of tackles and a bit of mouthing off. But..... The coaches talked to us after the game and we learned about the dangers of reacting to a tackle, the scorers: Mickie (2), Adam B. (2), Joel (2) and Adam A. (1). The best goal award has to go to Adam A. because his goal was indeed amazing. He set himself up and took a shot which he put near the top corner.
We have two games remaining (FOR SURE) and then would be the final. We have a guaranteed first place (we just figured it out) which is really good! So we play Byron tomorrow and I hope we win again!

Saturday, March 15th ( Sabado, 15 de Marzo)

I haven't been posting lately and I'm sorry. I'm too busy with my obsession with Runescape.

Anyway, today was Caro's Birthday so we had 3 girls sleepin' over at my .
place..... one word to describe it: AAARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

It was SOOOOOOOOO loud and I had to get up(along with everyone else) at 7 o'clock in the morning

So we did this and that and dad, Juan and I went to Toronto. But, before that, dad had to rent a car. It disgusted me. I said "DAD! YOU RENTED A GIRL CAR!!! MIGHT AS WELL OF RENTED A BRA WITH WHEELS!!!". I didn't excactly like it.....

We had a game. We won 3-2. I pushed a guy and one of my teammates had to serve my penalty. That's the game in a nutshell.

L8er, we had an interview with Ryan Chen-Wing from The Record . It was about a video they were makin about our trip here and stuff.

Well that was my crazyy day. Were getting ready to watch "The Gameplan".

I hope its good :)))

Pues, ese era my dia.

Estamos por mirar The Gameplan. Espero que sea buena.

Snowboarding

ohh man.

it's monday and im still sore from fnridays snowboarding.

Juan and I went to chicopee with my friends Michael, Jordan, Zach, Lucas, and Cindy(Lucas' sister).

Of course, Michaels dad steve went. He's WAS my soccer coach. And with what I saw, he should stick to soccer. :P

Anyway, we spent the first hour kinda training Steve then we just got thetired of that and decided to go to the harder hillls and such.

We went to the Terrain Park which is the place where all the jumps and rails are. I think that with the exception of Jordan, Juan, and Cindy, we all did rails and jumps and all that.

We had a scary moment too. The wind got harsh and the snow was blowing and we decided to go do a BLACK DIAMOND HILL. Yes, stupid idea. Lucas and I did not have gogles while everybody else (except Lucas, Juan, Cindy and I). So we went down and we were immediatly blinded.

We could not see a thing while the others were down the hill. I saw Lucas fall and I didn't think much of it. And since we weren 't "boarding buddies"(Steve's idea), I didn't stop. Then we saw Lucas' snowboard slowly make its way down the hill. Then came Lucas with blood gushing down his face. We thought he had broken his nose.

He had actually fracture...no im kidding. He hit his nose pretty hard and gave us quite a scare.

All in all, I had a good time.

YAY!!!

IM GOIN SNOWBOARDIN' TOMORROW WITH MY BRO MICHAEL!!!

I'LL PROBABLY WRITE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!!

Good Times with my Cousins

Yesterday, I started playing a game called TINY TOONS: BUSTER'S HIDDEN TREASURE. It was incredible the number of memories this game brought.

When I was younger, my sister Florencia was getting baptized so my cousins Valeria and Natalia came over. No wait sorry. The year before that, we all went to the cottage we rented and Paco, Martin and my cousins, and many others from Argentina were there. We discovered this game there. Me and Vale spent HOURS playing it but we weren't too good. So anyway, they decided they were going to stay at our place. I think I was 7 or 8 and you know how they say that little kids aren't always too smart.....we kinda brought home the wrong game( before moving i had a game that was exactly like it except it was about sports). We got home, plugged in the Sega and to our surprise, the game was there. Ok, look. I must confess. I was seven so this was 5 years ago dad. We kinda liked the game so much, it may of slipped into our hands..... This was the best kept secret of my life.

A year passed and I kept playing and playing until I finally beat the impossible level. So, I had to E-Mail my cousin. She E-Mailed me back saying " omg how could i have not seen that. Ohh man. We might be coming again for your sisters baptism." I got all pumped and couldn't really wait for them to come. I waited. And waited. And waited. Yes three whole waits. And finally January came and so did they. Of course, as soon as they got there we hit the video games and we played. I remember I had to go to a soccer tournament and when I got back, Vale ran up to me and said "WE BEAT IT!". Then I was like" Oh no u di-nt". And they proved it to me by beating it again. I also recall us hating a guy Montana Max.

He was really anoyying because he always killed us.

Ahhhh. ha ha ha. I just remember somthing that happened with my other cousin. She came with me and on the way back, we stopped by a Wendy's. The Almada families seem to have a lot in common because what we ordered was the same. a plain cheeseburger combo with only cheese. We got our meals and left. We ate in my dad's car. The funny thing was that my dad opened his burger after us (20 minutes after) and instead of cheese it had.......onions, pickles, tomato, lettuce, mustard, ketchup, mayo and probably other things.

It basically looked like this!!! My dad also said in the midst of swearing and cursing that he half expected mashed potatoes instead of French Fries!!

We laughed ourselfs out( Naty and I) Until we got home. Then... we told everyone.

Back to the game... I was chatting with my cousin Vale and we were just wowed at how much we loved that game. It was so cool to see that she remembered too!

Pancakes, Pancakes, Pancakes

Ok, I don't know if I'll survive writing this post since my tummy is gurgling with all the SUGAR I had today. But, I'll try.

Today was pancake tuesday. I was really excited because I was going to have Pancakes for lunch and dinner. We started cooking pancakes in class at about 10:35, just after science class. We cooked and plugged in so many things that the teacher said that if I turned on the computer, the fuse would litterally blow. Oh and today was also the DEBUT of my new magic trick, the "Cough, Cough Signature Trick". Anyway, my first pancake basically looked like this.

Then, I took a break and practiced my trick with my right hand man Colja Boy...I mean Colton. I got a couple more pancakes and then it was time to do my trick. Everyone was impressed and I will try to post a video of it on youtube.

L8er, I got home then left straight to church. We made pancakes for everyone. I made and flipped about two hundred and 57 thousand baches. My hands are soooo tired.

I just finished eating chili and I don't think my tummy will survive the nite..........

:S

OH and btw, biddie, i totally agree with ur thought on the filming of cloverfield. :P

Cloverfield

I went to see the movie Cloverfield a week ago and I forgot to write about it. :S

Anyway, the movie is about a group of people that get caught in the middle of the time when cloverfield attacks. Cloverfield is a giant godzilla type monster that attacks New York.
This is a picture of the movie poster.

The filming is quite different though. If you've seen King Kong, the filming is steady and professional. But, in this movie, all the filming is done with a com corder. It adds some suspense because, for example, in one part, they knock cloverfield down and there is a lot smoke so you can't see anything. But, all of a sudden, he comes out and attacks the chopper that this group of people are in. The camara shakes, gets knocked down and Hud, the filmmaker, hits his head when they fell so hard that he dies. These are three of the characters.

Oh and FYI, Rob is on the left, Marlina in the middle and Lily on the right.

One more thing, Marlina got bit and she went to a military base, she started bleedin out of her eye and they started freakin out yelling "bite!".. she was brought behind a curtain and you hear splat, and blood shoots all over the curtain. Me and my friend were REALLY freaked out. THE GIRL EXPLODED!!! OMG!

But, all in all, it was enjoyable.
